“This fabulous retreat was a journey of introspection to start the year with serenity and compassion to myself and to meet new friends.“   Aïcha Benyaich

Activities

Morning: Meditation, Yoga
Afternoon: Restorative Yoga, Partner yoga or Qi-gong, introduction to Compassionate Communication, and Free Time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings!
Evening: Meditation and sharing circle

Yoga
Yoga classes will be for mixed levels, so beginners are most welcome! Morning classes will be energizing and more vigorous.

Poncho and Laurence will rotate teaching the classes. They have studied a variety of yoga styles including Anusara, Hatha yoga, Vinyasa, Yin yoga, restorative yoga, partner yoga and acro-yoga.

We invite you to take care of your body and to find the balance between challenging yourself and accepting your limits.

Meditation and Mindfulness
When we are mindful, we are aware of the present moment. With each step, we feel the earth under our feet. We are aware of our breath, movements, actions and words. We touch life in the here and now. We invite you to practice mindfulness throughout the week. It is simple but not easy!

We will practice guided or silent sitting meditation each morning and evening. Meditation sessions will last for 20 to 30min. The idea of meditation is to bring our body and our mind together in the here and now. Often our body is in one place but our mind is drifting off into the past, future or into ‘wonderland’. When we sit just to sit, we are able to arrive in the present moment, release tension and find peace inside of ourselves.

Compassionate Communication
What we tell ourselves and others can be a great source of joy but it can also create suffering. We will listen deeply to ourselves and each other and share understand our mental patterns, to become more clear on our needs and feelings, and to come to a deeper understanding of what would make our life even more wonderful! It is a beautiful way to connect with others, to share what is alive in us and to inspire one another.

New Years Eve
On 31 December, we will have a special celebration evening. We will eat delicious food, set our intention for the New Year, dance under the moon light and perhaps even swim under the stars!
